Matthew Fairthorne is a Corporate Recovery expert with over 17 years of experience in insolvency. Matthew has unmatched knowledge and understanding of the technical requirements of insolvency administrations and the relevant conditions of the Corporations Act 2001, the Bankruptcy Act 1966 and the ARITA Code of Professional Practice. This knowledge is backed by a strong expertise in general accounting principles and standards along with Australian taxation legislation.

Matthew uses his advanced analytical skills in financial data and financial reports to accurately establish the position and performance of a business. Often there is a requirement for detailed investigations into transactions to enable fund tracing.

Matthew has a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (GradDipCA) from the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand (CAANZ) and a Bachelor of Business Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance from Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne. He is also a Professional Member of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association.
